My Policies
Waterford is a city and county full of promise. We have the fastest growing population in the country, a young workforce, and a landscape that offers so much promise. We are the gateway to Ireland. We are poised to deliver, but we continue to be held back.
Waterford has been deliberately spancelled in comparison to other regions. Our incomes are lower, our spending power is weaker, our commercial sector suffers, our students have less opportunities, our healthcare is inferior, our airport is being ignored. In all areas, what Waterford has is minimal. These facts are measurable and verifiable. What is the difference between where Galway and Limerick are today, and where Waterford is today? That gap, that difference, is government investment and jobs.
Waterford is being gaslit. Leaders have paid nothing but lip-service to our city and county since the foundation of the state. Any progress Waterford has made recently has been in spite of the government, not because of them. No other political party has delivered for Waterford, so why should they be rewarded with your vote?
The time for paying lip-service is over. I want to fight for a fair slice of the cake. We need a total restructure of how we spend money in Ireland. We should be able to see, measure and fund things fairly, and only then can Waterford, and other regions, truly start to grow and develop. It's time to pull the running of our country out from the dark corners. It's time for transparent, accountable and fair governance.
